This coming February 23, 2019 the 24 Hour Race is hosting its first entrepreneurship and awareness conference.

Want to hear from world class, successful entrepreneurs? BRIGHT is an exclusive conference for high school students who are passionate about social entrepreneurship or want to learn more about it.

We are also bringing in speakers from various anti-human trafficking and social right movements to share with us the importance of facing issues head on.


Robert Hao

Co-Founder & Partner, Hype

Robert Hao is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Hype. At Hype, Robert is responsible for overall Deal Ops. In 2012, he helped form the Asia landing team to expand Airbnb into the APAC region. From 2013-2017, Robert relocated to Beijing to lead Business Operations and Strategy and built China operations from the ground up turning the China business into the fastest growing market globally for the company.


Stephen George

Founder & CEO, Surkus

Stephen George's career began at Groupon as head of operations, seeing the company through its IPO in 2011. As the CEO of Surkus, George applies his knowledge of technology and excess inventory to automate and scale the platform, which is used by Fortune 500 companies.

Christopher Schrader is founder of the 24 Hour Race and CEO and cofounder of GraphEQ. Chris started the 24 Hour Race at age 16, inspired to give students around the world the opportunity to fight slavery through endurance sport. Today, the 24 Hour Race is the world’s largest student movement fighting slavery. He is currently the General Manager at the growing company, Surkus. He studied at Harvard, is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and currently sits on the Board of the 24 Hour Race.

Emmanuel Hui

CEO, Moogene Medi
Founder, Memory Tune

Emmanuel Hui is a Co-founder of Moogene Medi, a gene therapy startup backed by Samsung that has an upcoming IPO in April. Moogene focuses on genetically well-defined orphan indications, especially cancers and liver diseases. Hui is an activist financier, having backed projects such as MemoryTune - an app that aims to counteract dementia memory loss, and the Bamboo School - a children's refuge and clinic on the Thai-Burmese border. Hui graduated from Dartmouth as a Senior Fellow, is well published in scientific journals, and currently sits on the Research Ethics Committee of the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital.
